This is one of the few reviews I give where I have great pride in giving it.

Kim Chi and her husband Elvis are the owners of the V Caffè located in the VFW in the town of Dubois, Wyoming.

This seemingly unassuming hidden gem in Wyoming will surprise you in more ways than one. The first day I walked in, I was greeted by Kim's warm smile and a warm welcome. I took a look at the menu with its many flavorful options and ordered the garlic noodles with lemongrass pork. She rang me up and said, "Thank you, Jon, I'll have that right out to you," a simple but important statement, which I'll address shortly.

Since the V Caffè is located in the same building as the VFW, I sat at the bar and grabbed a Pepsi from another amazing resident of Duboi, Alda. Alda is from Belgium and has made dubois her home after immigrating to the US. If you have the pleasure of meeting her, you will be greeted with a big warm smile and a wonderful personality. She is truly a sweetheart.

After only a few minutes of introductions with her, Kim brought my order out to me. I was greeted with a piping hot freshly made plate that not only looked and smelled amazing but was even more delicious than I had anticipated. Needless to say, it was quickly inhaled with nothing but a clean plate left behind.

It was clear after one simple plate I would be returning for more.

In my life, I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel for various jobs. In doing so, there are two things I always seek out in my travels... good food and good people. In my just about 60 days I've spent in Dubois, I would say a good 40+ have been spent at the V Caffè and VFW.

Why? Well, getting back to the first time I met Kim and she thanked me by name for my order, without asking it, I knew something was going to be different. She took the time not only to get to know me but also to know everyone who comes in. With around 500 people extra in town for the fire that was going on, this was no easy task and made it feel very personal and special. I tried almost the entire menu and all the specials while I was there and was always amazed by everything.

The combination of Kim's passion for food and people is hard to find and was such a treat in a small town.

If you decide to dine here, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Tell Kim Jon Brown sent you and see her light up with Joy.

Came through Dubois pretty late at night and she stayed open so we could eat. So grateful we were able to sit down and eat somewhere before finishing our 15 hour drive through the night. Fantastic service and even better food!!

A Vietnamese restaurant in a VFW… seems unlikely, but the cowboy spring roll was very good. A generous slice of brisket atop a spring roll with a fresh dipping sauce.

I felt a bit like a poser eating at a VFW as the privilege wasn’t earned, even though they’re open to the public.

Blown away by the V Café! Food was amazing. Lemongrass pork with vermicelli and the garlic noodles were fantastic. Pork and shrimp spring rolls were absolutely amazing. Everyone I went with loved their food and I’ve been back already for more. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

Amazing hole-in-the-wall family-run Vietnamese restaurant serving up delicious rice and noodle dishes with mouthwatering egg rolls and charm. The owner has an amazing story and this is certainly not a place you want to miss if you are travelling through Dubois! It is also connected to a local bar so if you're in the mood for drinks this is also a good spot! Thank you so much for the hospitality and support for the wildland firefighters in the area for the past few months. We ALL appreciate you!

Not only is the food here incredible, the owners and staff make this a top notch restaurant no matter where you’re from. The food is handcrafted and thoughtfully flavored with authentic Vietnamese spices, flavors, and sprinkled with everything that makes dining out in a small town a special experience. Not only does the food at the V Café taste amazing, the love and thought that goes into each dish is remarkable and unmatched. This place is beloved by locals and tourists alike, and we are SO lucky to have Kim and Elvis serving up their delectable food in our sweet little town! The V Cafè is a can’t miss, go get you some shaking beef, spring rolls, and pho IMMEDIATELY!

Genuinely the highlight of my time in Dubois. When I come into small towns for wildfires, the last thing I expect to find is good food. ESPECIALLY not good Vietnamese food. This is truly a gem. And the owner was joyful and kind. Can’t wait to come back ❤️
