1st time for dinner. Arrived abit early, was seated right away. Orders were taken quickly. All staff attentive and polite. Portions were Huge! Would definitely re commend to family and friends. Will definitely be back!

Family dinner today. Food was outstanding, quick service and very pleasure staff. Desserts first class especially my favourite knickerbockerglory. Highly recommended.

It's like visiting you Granny here - the food is wholesome & there's plenty of it!
The only tiny downside for me is the lack of dairy & gluten free alternatives - I end up having the same thing every time I'm in - although they do have amazing dairy-free ice cream!!

The restaurant was very busy when we arrived, nonetheless we got a cheery welcome and shown to our table. We found the staff courteous and friendly.
The food was delicious. We spied on the menu that they do small plates, which suited us fine as it was lunchtime.

Attended an event at the venue last week. Brilliant night.
The staff were all lovely, decent prices, food was good esp since buffet for event.
It did get quite hot in the venue and it was cool outside.
The other issue is small carpark, so for a function be prepared to have to park nearby.
These things were not enough to spoil what was a great night. Would recommend for a function.

Gorgeous food. Massive portions. Good variety of dishes on the menu. The chicken in the club sandwich was lovely. Steak in the steak sandwich was tasty but a little tough. Wouldn't stop me ordering it again though. The onion rings were nice but batter lacked flavour. Homemade chips with skin on amazing. Overall delicious.

Managed to get a table about half past one on Friday and staff were very good,ordered our meal which was steak pie for myself and Cajun chicken for my wife. When It arrived I was somewhat puzzled as what appeared to be parsnips on my plate? ....only to find out they were "sliced fried potatoes?" along with carrots,shallots etc. Lovely portion but our chips seemed to have been blanched in the deep fat fryer as they looked undercooked and pale and quite hard when you cut into them. My wife mentioned it to the lovely waitress who offered to bring us freshly cooked chips but we declined. This used to be a cracking place for a meal but after this visit I can't see me visiting again in the future. Really disappointed and felt for £42 which regarding the current climate was very very poor value for money!
